Chautauqua County has landed federal funding for the final phase of a critical infrastructure improvement project at the Dunkirk Airport. Congressman Nick Langworthy and Senator Kirsten Gillibrand announced Friday that the FAA has awarded $237,500 for the project to reconstruct three existing airport access gates at the airport that have reached the end of their useful lives. The money was provided through the FAA's Fiscal Year 2026 Airport Improvement Grant program.
