County Legislature Chairman Seeks Committee Reviews of Management Salaries

The chairman of the Chautauqua County Legislature hopes to begin committee reviews of management salaries later this month. Ellery Republican Pierre Chagnon responded at the legislature's May meeting to concerns raised by Jamestown Democrat Fred Larson over a promise made to fellow Democrat Tom Nelson about doing that. Larson wanted to know what committees would be involved in such a review. Chairman Chagnon says he and one committee chairman -- Dan Pavlock -- have spoken to the Human Resources Director....

Pierre Chagnon: We have had an extensive discussion with HR.

Chagnon added that some of the complexities surrounding those salaries took more time to discuss and that accounted for any delay.
