A Dunkirk man has been charged after a vehicle struck and injured a bicyclist in the Town of Dunkirk, then fled the scene Saturday evening. Chautauqua County Sheriff's deputies responded to Bennett Road in the area of the I-90 overpass just after 9:45 PM. Deputies say the vehicle was located due to a Good Samaritan following it into the City of Dunkirk. An investigation found that the driver, 52-year-old Pascual Pablo-Domingo, was allegedly intoxicated. The bicyclist was taken to a local hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. Pablo-Domingo was charged with leaving the scene of a personal injury accident, consumption of alcohol in a motor vehicle, unlicensed operation, and DWI. He was released with appearance tickets. Sheriff's deputies were assisted by Dunkirk Police, Alstar EMS, and local fire personnel.
