A member of the Southwestern Central School District Board of Education was recently honored with awards at the county and state levels. Board President Kurt Gustafson received the Chautauqua County School Boards Association's (CCSBA) School Board Member of the Year Award during the organization's meeting in May. Gustafson also received the Friend in Education Award from the New York State School Boards Association (NYSSBA) in recognition of years of dedicated service as a board member and volunteer with both CCSBA and NYSSBA.
