Firefighters from several area departments battled a blaze that broke out at a residence in the Village of Westfield late Sunday night. According to Chautauqua County dispatchers, the fire at 45 Wood Street was reported at about 11:45 PM. Westfield Fire received mutual aid from Portland, North Lake, Brocton, Ripley, Sherman, and Ellery Center. Westfield Police and the Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office were also on scene.
