Pomfret Seeks More Grant Funding for New Town Hall Project

The escalating cost of a project to renovate the new Pomfret Town Hall has caused the town to seek more grants. That's according to Town Supervisor Dan Pacos, who spoke about the project as a guest on WDOE's "Viewpoint" program last Friday. Pacos says the original cost estimates were originally between $400,000 and $500,000, but have since risen to greater than $3 million. The town completed its purchase of the facility on Chestnut Road last year. The current Pomfret Town Hall is located on Day Street in the Village of Fredonia.
