Jamestown Police took a city man into custody after he was allegedly found in possession of a loaded handgun and a quantity of methamphetamine last weekend. Officers were working a GIVE hotspot detail in the area of King Street and Kinney Street just before midnight Saturday, when they pulled over a vehicle for traffic infractions. The driver of the vehicle, William Gordon, did not possess a New York State pistol permit for the loaded gun. He was taken to the Jamestown City Jail and charged with 2nd-degree criminal possession of a weapon and 7th-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.
