A Chautauqua County Court jury has convicted a man from the New York City area on multiple felony charges in connection with an attack on multiple corrections officers at the Lakeview Correctional Facility. District Attorney Jason Schmidt says the guilty verdict against 37-year-old Windsor Coleman was handed down late Thursday afternoon following a trial that began on June 2nd. Jason Schmidt: injured three officers
Coleman was subsequently charged with four counts of 2nd-degree assault and two counts of 1st-degree promoting prison contraband. Schmidt says he will pursue the maximum sentence of 15 years in state prison due to Coleman's prior criminal record. Sentencing is scheduled for September 8th.
