
Multiple people were arrested Wednesday evening for fighting and resisting arrest. Jamestown Police Officers responded to the area of the Wine Cellar around 12:00 AM after a report for multiple subjects fighting. Upon arrival officers attempted to disburse the crowd, and proceeded to arrest 22-year-old Marc Staples and 19-year-old Dimari Fields after they had allegedly tried to continue the fight and became uncooperative with officers while being taken into custody. Officers also arrested 41-year-old Rashid Jabbar after he became uncooperative. While officers were in the process of detaining the subjects, 18-year-old Navaeh Graves allegedly began fighting with another subject on scene before being taken into custody. Officers later arrested 18-year-old Jade Williams for also allegedly striking another subject that was on scene. Jabbar was later found to allegedly be in possession of a large quantity of cocaine.
Jabbar is charged with 4th-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, 3rd-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, and was additionally charged with 2nd-degree obstructing governmental administration along with Fields, Staples, and Graves. Jabbar, Graves, and Williams were all additionally charged with 2nd-degree harassment. Fields was also additionally charged with resisting arrest.
