A severe thunderstorm watch is in effect until 10:00 PM Sunday for an area that includes all of Western New York. According to the National Weather Service's Storm Prediction Center, thunderstorm development is anticipated across the region, along and ahead of a cold front. The primary threats include scattered wind gusts up to 70 MPH and isolated hail up to one inch in diameter.
8:00 PM UPDATE: The severe thunderstorm watch has been cancelled for Western New York.
