An arrest for drug possession in Cattaraugus County on Friday escalated after the suspect allegedly threatened to kill law enforcement. Cattaraugus County Sheriff's deputies say 53-year-old Frank Felt of Allegany was taken into custody shortly after 2:45 AM after they pulled over a vehicle on Route 417 in the Town of Great Valley for a traffic violation. After an investigation, K-9 Felt was deployed for a vehicle sniff, which led to the discovery of a quantity of suspected methamphetamine and a pipe with residue. Deputies say Felt made multiple threats while he was being transported to the Cattaraugus County Sheriff's Office. He was charged with making a terroristic threat, 7th-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, resisting arrest, and no/inadequate headlight. He was released with an appearance ticket and traffic ticket for Great Valley Town Court.
