The Dunkirk Police Department is investigating two robberies that occurred about 20 minutes apart at separate businesses in the city Tuesday afternoon. Officers say the first robbery occurred just after 1:15 PM at the Family Dollar on East 4th Street, and the second one took place at Crosby's on Central Avenue. Investigators believe both robberies were committed by the same person. Surveillance images of the suspect at both stores can be seen below. In both incidents, the suspect claimed to have had a firearm, but none was displayed.
