Chautauqua County Historical Society Hosting 89th Annual Antique Show July 18-19

The Chautauqua County Historical Society (CCHS) will hold its 89th annual Antique Show later this month. The two-day event at the Chautauqua Suites Hotel & Expo Center will feature an estimated 22 dealers from across Western New York, Pennsylvania and Ohio, with a wide variety of antiques available for sale. The dates for the show are Saturday, July 18th from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM and Sunday, July 19th from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. The event will feature antique furniture, dining sets, glassware, silver, jewelry, linens, and more. Click here to find a list of confirmed dealers for this year.

The Antique Show has its origin dating back to 1938, when Doc and Edis Shelkey organized the first ever event in Westfield. The two were well-known local antique dealers during that era and the event was so well attended they decided to hold it annually. Since then, the show has become a tradition in Chautauqua County, and for the past several decades, has been organized by CCHS. In 2024, the show was relocated to Mayville and rebranded as the "Chautauqua County Historical Society Antique Show," but its purpose and goal remain the same: to raise funds for CCHS and the McClurg Museum.

CCHS President Jason Sample, who is chairing the event, says the antique show has become the organization's second-largest fundraiser of the year, adding that strong turnout is especially important this year due to a capital project that involves renovating a portion of the McClurg Museum in Westfield.

The 2026 Antique Show is sponsored by Chautauqua County's 3% Occupancy Tax Tourism Product Development Grant. Admission is $10 for both days for individuals, or $15 for couples. All proceeds benefit the Historical Society.
