Suspect, Associate Arraigned on Charges from Dunkirk Robberies

Two Hamburg residents have been arraigned on charges in connection with a pair of robberies that occurred at separate businesses in the City of Dunkirk last month. According to Dunkirk Police, 32-year-old Robert Lyman was located and taken into custody by the Buffalo Police Department on Saturday. He was taken to Dunkirk City Court and arraigned on charges of 3rd-degree robbery and 3rd-degree attempted robbery for his alleged role in the incidents at the Family Dollar on East 4th Street and Crosby's on Central Avenue on June 16th. Lyman was then turned over to Hamburg Town Police to face additional charges related to a separate alleged robbery in that town. He is scheduled to return to Dunkirk City Court on August 18th for a preliminary hearing.

Meanwhile, Dunkirk Police say they interviewed a female, 31-year-old Mikayla Miller, who was in the area of the second robbery at Crosby's. Officers say she provided investigators with information that significantly hindered their probe. As the investigation progressed, detectives determined that Miller was an associate of Lyman and was aware of the crime that Lyman had allegedly committed. As a result, Miller was charged with one count of 2nd-degree obstruction. She was later located in the Town of Hamburg, taken into custody, and later released. She is also scheduled to appear in Dunkirk City Court at a later date.
