
The cities of Dunkirk and Jamestown will be among the communities nationwide celebrating National Night Out. Both cities will host their respective events on Tuesday, August 4th.
For Dunkirk, it will be the 33rd year of celebrating National Night Out. It will take place at Washington Park, beginning at 6:00 PM and will involve the Dunkirk Police Department and Dunkirk Fire Department. Food and drinks will be available, music will be provided by the Footsteps. There will also be free car seat inspections available. Jamestown's event is being organized through a partnership between the Jamestown Police Department and the city's Department of Department. More details will be announced as the date approaches.
National Night Out is celebrated by more than 17,000 communities and approximately 40 million residents each year. The initiative provides an opportunity for neighbors, law enforcement, and community organizations to come together in a positive setting, strengthen relationships, and foster a greater sense of community.
