Excessive Rain, Flash Flooding Possible for the Weekend

A slow-moving storm system combined with a moist atmosphere could produce locally heavy rainfall this weekend across Western New York. The National Weather Service's Weather Prediction Center has placed the region under a slight risk of excessive rainfall from Saturday night to Sunday night, meaning there's a 15-40% probability of excessive rainfall leading to flash flooding within 25 miles of a point.
