Ken Burns Will Be Featured During Chautauqua Institution's 'America at 250' Week

An acclaimed documentary filmmaker with dozens of major awards to his credit will be at Chautauqua Institution for two days to kick off its Week 6 theme of "America at 250." Institution spokesperson Jill McCormick, who was a call-in guest on WDOE's "Viewpoint" program on Friday, says Ken Burns will be joined by Jeffrey Rosen, CEO Emeritus of the National Constitution Center, on Monday and Tuesday for a conversation on the American story. McCormick says part of that conversation will draw from Burns' documentary "The American Revolution" that aired on PBS last November...

Burns' works have received a combined 17 Emmy Awards, two Grammy Awards, and two Oscar nominations. Rosen is currently a professor of law at the George Washington University Law School and a contributing editor of The Atlantic. Both days of discussion with Burns and Rosen will begin at 10:45 AM at the Chautauqua Institution Amphitheater.
