The Jamestown area's largest soup kitchen is asking the community for help after damage was done to its freezer system over the weekend. In a Facebook post, St. Susan Center stated that individuals "completely gutted" the compressor system for its 28-foot-by-28-foot freezer at about 5:30 AM Sunday. St. Susan's says the theft has had a significant impact on its operations and its ability to serve those in need. The local soup kitchen serves 150-200 people daily, and its freezer system is essential to storing the food that help it fulfill its mission. St. Susan's is asking anyone who saw anything suspicious or has any information regarding those responsible for stealing and destroying the components of the freezer system to call the Jamestown Police Department at (716) 483-7536.
