
A Westfield man was taken into custody following an investigation into a physical altercation in the village this week. Westfield Police were called to 75 Union Street just before 11:15 PM Tuesday. Officers determined that Roman Weaver allegedly pushed the female victim into a table and then held a bathroom door shut, preventing her from leaving the residence. Further investigation found that there was an order of protection in place between Weaver and the victim. Weaver was transported to the Chautauqua County Jail for centralized arraignment on charges of 2nd-degree unlawful imprisonment, 4th-degree criminal mischief, 2nd-degree harassment and 2nd-degree criminal contempt.
