A Westfield man has been taken into custody following an extensive investigation into an incident in which he allegedly threw an eight-year-old child into a swimming pool. Westfield Police say the probe found that the child subsequently entered an apartment to change into dry clothing, at which time 24-year-old Damean Bowen allegedly forced his way into the apartment without permission. Officers arrested Bowen on a warrant Wednesday afternoon and transported him to the Chautauqua County Jail. He is charged with endangering the welfare of a child and 2nd-degree burglary.
