A six-day traffic enforcement initiative targeting speeding and aggressive drivers is underway. New York State Police have announced that its "Fall Safe Speed" enforcement campaign begins today and runs through Sunday, September 27th. Troopers will also actively patrol highways and will target drivers who violate New York's Move Over Law. Speeding is listed as a contributing factor in nearly one-third of all fatal crashes in New York State. During this enforcement period, Troopers will be using both marked State Police vehicles and Concealed Identity Traffic Enforcement (CITE) vehicles as part of the operation.
