St. Susan Center will host the championship night of its inaugural "Battle of the Badges" on Thursday from 5:30-7:30 PM at its location at 31 Water Street in Jamestown. The event began as an idea to recognize police, fire and EMS professionals while raising money for St. Susan's, but it has since turned into a month of people coming together in a friendly competition. Michelle Torrens and Carol Sweeney from the Cummins Jamestown Engine Plant will be cooking in recognition of the Falconer Fire Department. Andy Caruso and Jace Blake will be cooking on behalf of the Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office. Camille Hodnett and Patrick Graham will be cooking in honor and recognition of EMS professionals throughout Chautauqua County. The event will also feature two special guest MCs -- County Executive P.J. Wendel and Jamestown Mayor Kim Ecklund.
