A Jamestown woman has been charged after her juvenile child allegedly crashed a vehicle while fleeing from a traffic stop early Friday. Jamestown Police say they tried to pull over a vehicle for an observed violation in the area of Foote Avenue and Harrison Street shortly after 2:30 AM, but the vehicle fled and later crashed on Pratt Avenue. While searching the area, officers located the unidentified juvenile and took them into custody. Police say the vehicle was also found to be stolen from an address in the city. The juvenile's mother, 41-year-old Amber Giancotti, responded to the Jamestown Police Department and was taken into custody. She was charged with endangering the welfare of a child for failing to exercise control of the minor.
