A Jamestown man is facing drunk driving and weapon possession charges following a traffic stop in the downtown area of the city late Saturday night. Jamestown Police pulled over a vehicle driven by 21-year-old Trent Chapman near the intersection of West 2nd Street and Cherry Street shortly after 11:00 PM. Officers say an investigation determined that Chapman was under the influence of alcohol and had a BAC more than twice the legal limit. They also discovered that Chapman was allegedly in possession of a loaded revolver that was stored on his person. He was charged with aggravated DWI (BAC .18% or higher), 2nd-degree criminal possession of a weapon, and uniform traffic tickets. Chapman was held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court.
