A Jamestown man who had an active warrant was arrested following a domestic dispute early Thursday. Jamestown Police responded to an address on the city's west side just before 1:30 AM and saw 26-year-old Xavier Williams exit and then start to run away. Officers, who were aware of Williams' arrest warrant, stopped him nearby and placed him into custody after a brief struggle. According to police, an investigation found that two individuals at the residence each have an active stay-away order of protection against Williams. Due to his criminal history, he was charged with two counts of aggravated criminal contempt and two counts of 1st-degree criminal contempt. Williams also faces charges of resisting arrest and 2nd-degree obstruction.
