A weekend fire extensively damaged a small sawmill on a property between Panama and Ashville. Chautauqua County dispatchers says Panama Fire responded to 6108 Route 474 shortly after 6:00 PM Saturday and found flames coming from the building. Firefighters from Ashville, Sherman, Clymer and Bear Lake were also at the scene, along with Chautauqua County EMS. No injuries were reported, and the cause was found to be accidental.
