
Jamestown Police arrested a city man after he had allegedly threatened multiple people with a knife. Officers responded to an address on the city's east side on Saturday around 4:40 PM for a reported person with a weapon. Upon arrival, officers located 37-year-old Angel Baez-Huertas, whom officers later determined allegedly menaced two individuals with a knife and threatened to kill them during a domestic incident in the presence of three children. Officers also confirmed that Baez-Huertas was the subject of an active order of protection involving one of the children present during the incident. Baez-Huertas was subsequently taken into custody on scene and transported to the Jamestown City Jail where he is being held pending arraignment. Baez-Huertas faces one count of 2nd-degree criminal contempt, two counts of 2nd-degree menacing, one count of 3rd-degree criminal possession of a weapon, and three counts of endangering the welfare of a child.
