The Dunkirk Police Department has begun another year of its Reader Day program, where police officers visit schools in the city and read to students of different ages. On On October 23rd, officers stopped by School 4 and not only read to children there, but also answered any questions they had about being a police officer. The program is made possible through a partnership with the Dunkirk City School District, as Dunkirk Police help foster a positive relationship with children in the community.
