A Lakewood man with a previous drunk driving conviction is facing charges after a vehicle went into a ditch early Thursday morning. Lakewood-Busti Police were called to Route 394 in the Town of Busti at about 5:45 AM and, after further investigation, found that 35-year-old Scott Heffner was allegedly driving the vehicle while intoxicated and had a BAC more than three times the legal limit. Heffner was charged with felony DWI, aggravated DWI, and moving from lane unsafely. He will answer the charges in Busti Town Court. Chautauqua County Sheriff's deputies assisted at the scene.
