Alice I. Wilson

Alice I. Wilson, cherished wife, mother, grandmother and friend, peacefully departed this life on Monday, April 21, 2025 at the age of 96. She was born on January 14, 1929 in Jamestown, a daughter of the late Walter and Mary Christy White.

Alice was a 1948 graduate of Cassadaga Valley Central School.

A Town of Arkwright resident most of her life, she leaves an enduring legacy within her family and community. She was a full-time wife, mother and homemaker. Alice treasured the values of family, faith, and camaraderie among dear friends. A talented musician, she found joy in playing the organ and reveling in "good old-fashioned music," alongside her love for square dancing. Renowned for her gift of conversation and storytelling, Alice possessed a unique ability to form familial bonds and connect deeply with individuals from all walks of life. And what we wouldn't do for one last slice of her apple pie.

Alice was the wife of 63 years to the late Fred H. Wilson, whom she married on June 23, 1946 and who died on May 20, 2009; devoted mother of Pricilla (Larry) Phillips of North Fort Meyers Beach, FL, Nadine Wilson of Rockland, ME, Natalie (Larry) Ball of Arkwright and the late Walter Wilson; loving grandmother of 12, including the late Adam Phillips and eight great-grandchildren; sister of the late Eunice Kocur; and is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Friday, April 25 at 1:00 PM in the Jordan Funeral Home, 6 Parkway Drive in Sinclairville, where a funeral service will take place at 2:00 PM. Burial will be in Burnham Hollow Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Heritage Village or the JCC Nursing Student Scholarship.
