Peggy Ann Skinner Hassinger, 80, of Jamestown peacefully passed away on Friday, April 18, 2025. She was born on November 19, 1944 in Jamestown, a daughter of the late Edward and Eleanor Skinner.
Peggy, a Cassadaga Valley Central School alumna, features a diverse and interesting career path. Her early endeavors included impactful roles in the Cassadaga Valley Drop-Out Prevention Program, the Chautauqua County CETA job counseling program, and the City of Jamestown Labor Management Program. Following a move to Arizona, Peggy shifted her focus to a successful career in human resources and compensation management at Motorola Semiconductor Corp. In what she considered semi-retirement, she explored unique avenues, such as guiding tour buses through the southwestern U.S. and even delivering RV motor homes to customers throughout the area. Recently retired, Peggy returned to Jamestown to be closer to her family.
We remember Peg today, not with sadness, but with a warm smile for the wonderful moments shared with family and friends. She appreciated a good book, photography, and expressing her creativity in writers' groups. Peg's curiosity lead her on adventures, both near and far, always ready to learn and share stories. Whether it was a travel tale, a unique project, or a nostalgic memory, she had a knack for connecting with others. The memories we shared; the laughter, the adventures, and the quiet moments of connection will endure.
Peggy was the mother of Tracy (Debbie) Trumbull of Connecticut and Kenneth (Ann) Crossley of Bemus Point; and sister of James (Pat) of Tempe, AZ and Jack (Bonnie Skinner of Jamestown.
No visitation or services are scheduled at this time.
