Mary Jo (Guzzetta) Lessinger, 77, of Dunkirk passed away on Wednesday, March 25, 2026 at the Chautauqua Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. Born in Dunkirk on February 3, 1949, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Lorraine (Leone) Guzzetta.
Mary Jo is survived by her loving sons, Frank (Melanie) Grupa, Joe (Terra) Grupa and Scott (Andrea) Grupa; grandchildren, Tory (Faith) Grupa, Trevor Grupa, Gianna Klein, Seth (Liz) Grupa, Callie Grupa, Jillian Grupa, Cody (Autumn) Grupa, Hannah (Alex) Buss, Montana Truitt and Payton Truitt; seven great-grandchildren; her sister, Linda (late Robert) Mignoli; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mary Jo is preceded in death by her sister, Patricia Gens.
Relatives and friends are welcome to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, March 30 at 10:00 AM at Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church, 1032 Central Avenue in Dunkirk. Interment will be held in St. Anthony's Cemetery.
