Allan M. "Al" Galardo, 66, of Dunkirk passed away on Sunday, March 29, 2026 after an extended illness. He was born on May 30, 1959 in Dunkirk, son of Anthony J. and Marie (Kohman) Galardo.
Raised in Dunkirk, Al attended Dunkirk schools. He was a member of the Dunkirk American Legion Post #62 and the Dunkirk WWII Veterans Club. Allan was also a longtime Buffalo Bills fan.
Al is survived by his daughter, Andrea (Matt) Tomala of North Carolina; his grandchildren, Chase and Benjamin Tomala; siblings, Anthony J. Galardo, Jr. (Sheryl) of Columbia, SC, Linda A. Burlingame of Portland, Carl G. Galardo of Fredonia, Paul A. (Brenda) Galardo of Marilla and Mary Jo (Michael) Kujawa of Dunkirk; as well as nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, many cousins, and a good friend, Willie Bauza. Besides his parents, Anthony and Marie Galardo, Al is predeceased by two sisters, Kathleen (late David) Tabor and Sharon Reading; and his brother, Thomas Galardo.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 2 from 9:00-11:00 AM at the Larson-Timko Funeral Home, 20 Central Avenue in Fredonia, where a funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM. A luncheon will follow at the First Ward Falcons Club, 341 Lake Shore Drive East in Dunkirk; all are invited.
