Betty J. (Killock) Troutman, 88, of Forestville entered into rest on Thursday, April 16, 2026 at home, with family by her side. She was born on June 29, 1937 in Hamlet to her late parents, Henry and May (Ashman) Killock.
Betty married her husband, Francis J. Troutman on April 12, 1958 and were married for 50 loving years. She was a homemaker and spent 40 years helping her husband on their dairy farm.
Betty enjoyed cooking, gardening, canning, family chores, and spending time with her grandchildren and all the family's various pets, especially Kandy and Riley.
She was a loving, caring and devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Betty is survived by her three sons, Philip D. (Patricia) Troutman of Jamestown, Steven M. (Amy Kleban) Troutman of Forestville and Raymond L. (Judy) Troutman of Markhams; a daughter, Susan M. Erdmann of Forestville; along with 10 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Francis J. Troutman; and her siblings, Charles, William, Albert, Arthur, Mable and Millie.
Relatives and friends may visit the DiStasio Funeral Home, 478 Route 83 at Balcom Corners in South Dayton on Tuesday, April 21 from 12:00-2:00 PM. A funeral service will immediately follow at the funeral home, with Pastor Bruce Ellis from the Forestville Wesleyan Church officiating. Interment will follow at Villenova Cemetery.
