Donna Y. Town, 86, of Buffalo Street in Gowanda, formerly of Quartzsite, AZ and Perrysburg, died on Saturday, April 18, 2026 at Mercy Hospital of Buffalo. She was born in Little Valley on June 21, 1939, the daughter of the late Bernard and Marguerite (Stewart) Young.
Donna was a graduate of Pine Valley Central School, Class of 1957. After her husband retired in 1989, she spent many years traveling and settled in Quartzsite, AZ, where she made many friends. Donna spent the summer months on their property in Perrysburg. In 2021, she moved to Gowanda to be closer to her family.
Donna enjoyed diamond painting and working on various crafts throughout the years. She liked talking on the phone with friends and family and watching birds, especially the cardinals, which she loved. Donna will be remembered for her good sense of humor and making people laugh.
Survivors include her daughter, Lynda Town of Perrysburg; her son, Richard Town, Jr. of Syracuse; a sister, Shirley Tracy; a brother, Dale (Jean) Young; and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Richard E. Town, Sr., whom she married on August 18, 1960 in the Laona United Methodist Church and who died on June 22, 2006; and her brother, Bernard Young.
Private interment will be in Arkwright Summit Cemetery at a later date.
