Kathleen A. Barton

Kathleen A. Myers Barton, 75, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, April 20, 2026 in Dunkirk. She was born on December 24, 1950 to Rocco Logan and Wanita (Jones) Logan at Brooks Memorial Hospital.

She married her loving husband Timothy Barton of Toronto, Ontario, Canada on February 14, 2007. She was a devoted mother to John Myers, Michelle (Eric) Carpenter, and a loving stepmother to Ashleigh (Michael) Oucharek and Brandon (Cassidy) Barton. She was the eldest sister of Robert Logan, Mary (Keith) Kelley, Susan (Michael) Helfrey, Delores (Dale) DuBois, Roxanne Logan, and Dawn (Jeff) Tinstman.

She graduated from Cassadaga Valley High School and began her career at Jones Hill Hospital as a medical records secretary before finishing her career at Brooks Memorial Hospital as an administrative professional.

She spent many years living in Kennedy, where she lived with her late husband George Myers and her children and was involved in the Kennedy Fire Department Auxiliary. She later moved to Dunkirk, where she was an active member of the Cassadaga and Fredonia American Legion auxiliaries. She enjoyed frequenting the casinos, watching Canadian football with her husband. Her pastimes included bowling, riding Harley-Davidsons, traveling, rooting for the Buffalo Bills, the Toronto Maple Leafs, and spending time with family and friends. She always admired full moons and rainbows.

Kathy was an amazing woman who will be greatly missed by all of those who knew her.

Kathy is survived by multiple grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Robert; sister, Roxanne; and first husband, George Myers.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, July 25 at 12:00 PM at Riverside Cemetery in Kennedy, followed by a Celebration of Life at 3:00 PM at the Clarion Hotel in Dunkirk.

In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to Roswell Park in Buffalo in Kathy's name.
