Robert Michael Miller

Robert Michael "Bob" Miller completed his earthly journey and embraced eternity on Monday, May 11, 2026. He passed away holding the hand of his wife, Jacquie, at their home in North Fort Myers, FL. He had fought a courageous battle with cancer. He was 75 years old.

Bob was born in Dunkirk on July 16, 1950, the son of James Alfred Miller and Joan Elizabeth (Dombroski/Johnson) Miller. His childhood education was at St. Mary's School, followed by Cardinal Mindszenty Diocese of Buffalo. He later obtained a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering at SUNY of Buffalo in 1976, and also a Master of Science at the State University of New York in 1977.

He served in the U.S. Air Force for four years and had satisfying careers with Exxon, International Paper and the Nevamar Corporation, where he had the privilege of traveling to Europe on many business trips. After retirement, he moved to Ocala, FL and was a successful realtor and Vice President of Greater Mobility. He married Jacquie in 2015. They particularly enjoyed their two-year adventure traveling the lower 48 states in a Class A RV.

He is survived by wife, Jacqueline Miller; sons, Jeffrey Miller (Amy) and Jeremy Miller; daughters, Michele Parrish (Travis) and Krista Miller-Shifflett (Keith); brothers, John Miller (Marti), Tom Miller (Wendy), Michael Miller (Shari) and Rich Miller; sisters, Mary Jakubowski and Pat Pencek (Joe); grandchildren, Lillyana, Kylie, Caleb, Cooper, Bailie, Piper and Aubree; stepchildren Chad Triplett (Gabrielle) and Lori Stukes (Dwayne); and stepgrandchildren, Myka, Londyn, Gage, Jade, Skylar, Jordyn and Elijah. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Joan; and brothers, Jim Miller and Bill Miller (Patty).

The family wishes to express extreme gratitude to Avow Hospice in Naples, FL.

A Celebration of Life was held with him in attendance the week prior to his passing. A simple graveside military honor burial will be held on Thursday, May 21 at 2:30 PM at the Sarasota National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, Jacquie would love for you to just find someone to bless with an unexpected kindness.
