Andre Rosario, 24, of Fredonia, formerly of Silver Creek, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, August 22, 2026. Born in Erie, PA on April 23, 2002, he was the son of Maria Vega and the late Raul Rosario, Jr.
A graduate of Silver Creek High School in 2020, Andre was a bright and hard-working young man who excelled academically and made a positive, lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him.
Andre had a deep love for sports, especially baseball, which was truly a lifelong passion. He began playing in Little League and continued playing throughout his life, even up until the day of his passing. A talented pitcher and third baseman, Andre also enjoyed playing travel baseball over the years. An avid athlete, he also played football and basketball. He was a fan of the New York Mets and New York Knicks.
Following high school, Andre became a certified New York State security guard through PROMESA, where he was currently working. He was looking forward to taking the next step in his career and was preparing to apply to the IBEW Electrical Union.
Those who knew Andre will remember him most for the person he was. He was described as one of the kindest, sweetest, and most genuine souls. He had a wonderful sense of humor, was always joking, and could tell a story in a way that kept everyone listening and laughing.
Andre also loved being outdoors. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, hiking, and taking long walks with his beloved dog, Nova. He also enjoyed playing video games and, most of all, spending time with his friends and family.
Survivors include his loving mother, Maria Vega; siblings, Yvonne, Gianna, Gwynn and Ivan Rosario, Ahyana Frederick and Alexander Rosario; grandparents, Wilda Vega-Singer, Raul Rosario, Sr. and Iris Rosario; nieces and nephews, Naomi, Eliza, Jacob, Leon and Xavian, with one more nephew on the way; many aunts, uncles and extended family members; his best friend, Tyler Czekanski; the Vancheri family; his baseball family; and his beloved canine companion, Nova.
