Sunday Sports Update

Top left: The 145th edition of the Kentucky Derby produced something that the event had never seen before -- the disqualification of a winning horse.  Maximum Security was the first horse to cross the finish line at Churchill Downs, but after a 22-minute review, the horse was found to have illegally bumped into other horses on the final turn.  As a result, Maximum Security was disqualified, and 65-1 longshot Country House was declared the official winner.  Photo by the Courier-Journal

Bottom right: Another New York Yankee landing on the injured list.  On Saturday, the team announced that southpaw James Paxton was placed on the IL after suffering inflammation in his knee.  Paxton was pulled after three innings in his start against the Minnesota Twins on Friday.  Photo by Newsday
