Top right: Novak Djokovic is a champion again in Australia.  Today, Djokovic won his ninth career Australian Open title by defeating Daniil Medvedev 7-5, 6-2, 6-2 in the men's final in Melbourne.  The win also marks Djokovic's 18th career Grand Slam title.  Photo by Reuters

Bottom: Fredonia High School's boys basketball team improved its overall record to 4-1 by defeating Chautauqua Lake 73-52 in a non-league contest in Fredonia on Saturday.  The Billies broke open a tight game by outscoring the visiting Thunderbirds 34-13 in the 2nd quarter.  Fredonia senior Tyler Putney (left) led all players with 24 points for Fredonia, while Chautauqua Lake senior Luke Waters (right) tallied 21 points, eight rebounds, and five steals.  Photos by Ron Szot
