Sunday Sports Update
Top: Can LeBron James bring a title to the long-suffering fans of Cleveland? The Cavaliers looked to be dead in the water in the NBA Finals after falling behind the Golden State Warriors 3-1. But after the Cavs won Game 5 and Game 6 -- with LeBron scoring 41 points in each of those two games -- all the pressure is now on the Dubs to close the deal on their home floor tonight in Game 7. Golden State seeks its second straight NBA crown, while the Cavaliers look for their first ever title, as well as the first major professional sports championship for the city of Cleveland since 1964.
Bottom left: A surprise leader going into the final day of the U.S. Open. Ireland's Shane Lowry entered today with a one-shot lead at -5. After finishing his 3rd round, Lowry now owns a four-shot lead at -7 going into the final round at Oakmont. Andrew Landry and Dustin Johnson are tied for second at -3.
Bottom right: Carlos Beltran was in the middle of a Yankees comeback against the Minnesota Twins on Saturday. Beltran belted a two-run homer in the 8th inning to the game at 4-4 before Jacoby Ellsbury's two-RBI single in the 9th put the Yanks in the lead for good. New York goes for a four-game sweep this afternoon.
