Saturday Sports Update
Top left: He was who we thought he was. Former NFL head coach Dennis Green died from cardiac arrest late Thursday night at the age of 67. Green spent ten seasons as coach of the Minnesota Vikings (1992-2001) and three seasons as coach of the Arizona Cardinals (2004-2006). His track record of success includes guiding the Vikings to two NFC Championship games. But his claim to fame is a postgame tirade in 2006 -- following a loss to the Chicago Bears on Monday Night Football, Green said, "They are who we thought they were! And we let 'em off the hook!"

Kane was booked on several charges stemming from an incident at a downtown Buffalo bar on June 24th. Romine later scored the go-ahead run for the Yankees in the bottom of the 8th to give them a 3-2 victory. Masahiro Tanaka pitched six shutout innings for New York, but did not get a decision.
Bottom right: Kevin Durant and DeAndre Jordan get high-fives as they walk off the court during Team USA's first tuneup game for the Olympics on Friday. Durant led the USA with 23 points as they blew out Argentina 111-74.
