Saturday Sports Update

Manuel and several other starters saw significant playing time in the contest, as head coach Rex Ryan opted to play it safe and keep his starters healthy during a game typically referred to as the "dress rehearsal" for the regular season. Bottom left: Can anyone stop Gary Sanchez right now? The New York Yankees rookie catcher has been on fire at the dish. On Friday, against Baltimore, he went 3 for 5 with four RBI, including this two-run home run as part of a 14-4 victory for the Bronx Bombers. Since being called up from the minors, Sanchez has 10 homers in 20 games, including eight dingers in his last nine. Photo by the New York Post
