Top: Brocton is going to the New York State Class D baseball semifinals! On Saturday, the Bulldogs defeated Avoca by a 5-1 score in their Far West Regional game in Jamestown. Ronald Brown (right) pitched a complete game for Brocton, allowing an unearned run and only two hits, while striking out 10 batters in the winning effort. Brocton takes on Deposit/Hancock on Friday in Binghamton. Photos by the Post-Journal
Bottom left: Chautauqua Lake's softball team is also going to be in a state final four next weekend! Olivia Anderson (left) and the Lady Thunderbirds edged Caledonia-Mumford by a 4-3 score in the Class C Far West Regional in Fillmore.
