Saturday Sports Update

Top left: Buffalo Bills rookie defensive tackle Ed Oliver speaks with reporters after Day 1 of the team's rookie minicamp on Friday.  Oliver, who was drafted 9th overall by the Bills two weeks ago, says his main goal this weekend in his first action as a member of the Bills is just to compete and "get [his] feet wet."  The Bills are holding their rookie minicamp at One Bills Drive through Sunday.  Image by the Buffalo Bills

Top right: Stephen Curry was nowhere to be seen in the first half on Friday, but the second half was a completely different story.  In Game 6 of the NBA's Western Conference Semifinals, Curry had no points at halftime, then exploded for 33 points to propel the Golden State Warriors to a 118-113 victory, eliminating the Rockets.  Photo by USA Today

Bottom left: Despite the number of injuries the New York Yankees have had so far this season, they are finding ways to win.  On Friday, Gio Urshela provided another big hit, knocking a two-run single in the top of the 6th inning to give the Yankees a 4-3 lead over the Tampa Bay Rays, and that wound up being the final score.  Photo by USA Today

Bottom right: Fredonia sophomore Maddy Marsh delivers a pitch during the Lady Billies' high school softball game against Dunkirk on Friday.  Marsh scattered nine hits, struck out seven, and allowed no walks in the circle in a 6-1 victory over the Marauders.  Marsh also helped her cause on offense, going 2-for-3 with a double and two stolen bases.  Photo by the Observer
