Saturday Sports Update

Bottom: They had to wait until the end of the regular season, but Dunkirk and Fredonia finally met on the high school baseball diamond, and it turned out to be a showcase for starting pitchers Peyton Ahlstrom (left) and Trey Swartz (right).  In the end, Ahlstrom and the Marauders prevailed 3-2 in extra innings.  It was Dunkirk's first high school baseball win over Fredonia since May 14, 2012.  Photos by the Observer
