Top: The NHL may be in its offseason, but the Buffalo Sabres had some significant news on Friday. Dylan Cozens (left), who was drafted 7th overall by the team in June, will be out for up to three months after undergoing surgery on his left thumb; Cozens suffered the injury during the Sabres' development camp last weekend. Bottom right: The first week at Wimbledon has produced a big surprise. Cori Gauff, a 15-year-old American, has successfully made in through to the second week of action at the All-England Club. Gauff began the tournament with a win over Venus Williams, and on Friday, she continued her unlikely path with a 3-6, 7-6, 7-5 win over Polona Hercog. Photo by Sky Sports
