Saturday Sports Update
Top: Nobody has been able to legitimately challenge Southwestern this high school football season, and that trend continued on Friday as the Trojans upended Chautauqua Lake-Westfield-Brocton 49-6 in the Section VI Class C semifinals. Sophomore quarterback Aidan Kennedy (left) threw for 283 yards and three touchdowns in the win. Tight end Charles Bailey (right) had only one catch, but it helped set up one of three Trojan touchdowns in the 2nd quarter. Photos by the Post-Journal

Bottom right: The New York Mets are turning to one of their former players to fill their managerial void. On Friday, the Mets announced that they have hired Carlos Beltran, who played for the Mets from 2005-2011. Beltran played a total of 20 seasons in the Major Leagues; he last played with the Houston Astros in 2017. Photo by USA Today
