Sunday Sports Update

Top left: Defense promises to be the order of the day at New Era Field, as the Buffalo Bills and Denver Broncos will do battle this afternoon.  That means players like linebacker Tremaine Edmunds (left) will have to do their part in containing a Denver Broncos offense whose top two running backs -- Phillip Lindsay and Royce Freeman -- have combined for 1,056 rushing yards this season.  Catch all the action on WDOE (94.9 FM/1410 AM), with kickoff at 1:00 PM!  Photo by the Buffalo Bills

Bottom left: The Buffalo Sabres announced on Saturday that defenseman Zach Bogosian should return to action during the team's current road trip, and that return may came as early as today, when the Sabres face the Florida Panthers.  The Sabres need all the help they can get, having lost nine of their last ten contests.  Photo by the Buffalo Sabres

Bottom right: Fredonia High School sophomore Tori Spacc finished in 27th place in the finals of the 100-yard breaststroke at the New York State Swimming and Diving Championships in Ithaca on Saturday.  Spacc finished with a time of 1:07.48, improving on her time in the preliminary round by 0.11 seconds.  Photo via the Observer
