Top left: College football's championship weekend kicked off Friday evening with another twist in the race for the College Football Playoff. 13th-ranked Oregon ran all over Utah in the Pac-12 Championship Game in Santa Clara by a score of 37-15. Bottom: The first two weekends of December means its local tournament time, as a way to mark the start of the high school basketball season. One of those tournaments is the Westfield Winter Classic, and on Friday, Westfield and Chautauqua Lake won their respective opening round games. Dylan Scriven (left) was one of four Westfield players in double figures with 15 points, as the Wolverines defeated Silver Creek 74-54.
